series book have been seen. Several points need to be made about the
editions.
1. The last edition is of a different size than the earlier editions.
It is 7.75 x 5.25. The smaller books are 7 x 4.5.
2. The last edition has 5 glossy pictures while the other editions have
four. The difference is that the last editon frontispiece is a picture
of the author- Eleanor Walton. The other books' frontispiece is a
glossy picture entitled "While I Worked Away at Modeling". The last
edition book has the "modeling" picture within the book at page 118.
3. Although all of the books list 1898 in Roman Numerals at the base of
the title page, only the first edition lists Henry Altemus not Henry
Altemus Company as the publisher. Apparently Altemus never removed the
Roman Numerals from the later, post-1900 Henry Altemus Company books.
4. Note that the green colored cover of the book of the second edition
is the same as the last edition. Only the size is different.
5. The second edition was seen in two different colors. (See above)
