Book cover as above but without colors (black line drawn pictures on a
green cloth book) or with a multicolored applique which shows two
sailors on top a submarine, one pointing and the other looking through
binoculars. Dust jacket matches the applique.
Series Notes:
1. Note that there are 5 different brown uncoated dust jackets in
format #1. They are shown in their chronological order. (Earliest -#1
to latest -#5.) The 4th and 5th dust jackets can be distinguished from
the earlier ones by the new spine pattern. The 5th is the only jacket
in format 1 to have black lettering. #s 4 and 5 are quite scarce. |
