Sanspareil Series

Q:  I have a book Fanchon, Henry Altemus 1896. Can you give me an idea of value for this book?

A:  Your book is part of the Sanspareil Series published in 1898. Sanspareil Series 162 (earlier numbering)
It is a reprint without the dust jacket of a not in demand title.
Unless you can find a buyer who loves the attractive cover, it will be a hard sell at any price.

Q:  I own an old edition of Black Beauty that indicates Henry Altemus manufactured it and I am trying to determine its value.

A:  A: Your book is part of the Sanspareil Series and was published in 1898. Henry Altemus Company - Sanspareil Series 162 (earlier numbering)
It is a reprint and originally came with a dust jacket.
Since it is one of a myriad of reprints of this title and does not have a unique or fancy pictorial cover, most likely only has nominal value.

Sanspareil Series

Q:  I have a copy of the Henry Altemus 1898 book A Window in Thrums with the oval frame, green cover and red-orange flowers, by J. M. Barrie.
It's a delightful little book and has been well-loved but still in good condition. It has an inscription and quotes inside.
I'm wondering if it has value today as I've searched on-line and haven't found this version.

Because your book is only in fair condition and this title is a reprint which is not really in demand by collectors, it only has nominal value.
